Public Conveniences whats Madeley Parish Council doing about them?
Madeley Parish Council has concluded its negotiations with Telford & Wrekin Council for the transfer of ownership of the Public Toilets in Madeley.
Letters have now been issued to Architectural Practices inviting bids for the design and construction of facilities to replace the rather unappealing, somewhat unsavoury, and to some extent unsafe property.
Unfortunately the consultation, design, and construction process will take some time. At this stage, completion is not expected until at least the end of August 2002.

FOOT & MOUTH
During the Foot & Mouth crisis Shropshire County Council, under government guidance, placed a green code of conduct notice on all public rights of way in Shropshire.
This notice is no longer needed and the County Council are now appealing for members of the Parish Council and Parishioners to help in the mammoth task of removing these notices from public display.
