Page 3 - Spring Clean 08 organised by Madeley Parish Council

As promised, Madeley Parish Council is making arrangements to Spring Clean your ‘Grot Spots’ and getting long term improvements in place to keep them tidy; this is in addition to organising all our local schools and community groups to clean our green spaces.

Here is one example of our work: Hills Lane Bus Shelter and surround. We have undertaken an initial litterpick and contacted Hills Lane Social Club with Telford and Wrekin enforcement team to get an undertaking that they would maintain this grassed area to a reasonable standard. Telford and Wrekin Council will install a new litter bin and repaint the bench before the end of the summer.

CubsWe are tackling 5 ‘Grot Spots’ during this campaign and would like to build on this success, so if you have knowledge concerning a persistent ‘Grot Spot’ –

Please let us know! Ring: 01952 567282

600 - 700 Madeley people will have been involved in our Green Spaces Spring Clean. In addition, six schools will have been visited by the theatre company Play Train – making a drama out of rubbish!
