Madeley Christmas Lights Switch-On

Madeley Parish Council is pleased to announce that we will be holding a Christmas Lights Switch-On and Parade this year.

What’s Happening?

Now that we have a New Madeley Centre we are able to introduce some new decorations and invite our residents to enjoy an evening of traditional street entertainment.

All are welcome to join the lantern parade starting from Forester’s Arms Car Park, Legges Way @ 6pm

Bring a torch, lantern, whistle .... etc and be part of the parade as it makes its way up the High Street led by Father Christmas to Anstice Square.

There will be children’s fairground rides, traditional Christmas treats, Music from Organ Rosie and ‘Bang-On’, Hog Roast, Hot Roast Chestnuts, Father Christmas on ‘Walk-about’, Street Entertainment from Mr Tipple and more!

David Wright MP will switch on the Christmas Lights at approx. 6.30pm

7.30pm Finish

NOTICE

On Friday 26 November 2010 the following roads will be closed to traffic:

  • 6 – 6.05pm End of Legges Way to bottom of High Street
  • 6 – 6.30pm Madeley High Street
  • 6 – 7.30pm Park Avenue (New Link Road through Madeley Centre)
